2015 TRI GRAEAGLE TRIATHLONS
Race Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
The Sprint distance course entails a 0.3 mile swim in the Graeagle Mill Pond, a 12 mile bike ride and a 3 mile run. All bike and run legs will occur on paved roads. Note that roads are not closed for our events and all participants must obey CA Vehicle Codes. The Sprint course will have one aid station. Relay teams welcome!
The Olympic distance course (LABOR DAY Weekend Tri only) is suitable for intermediate to advanced athletes and includes a .7 mile swim in the Graeagle Mill Pond, a very challenging 21 mile bike ride up the Gold Lake Road (Olympic Race Course Map) and back down (with a required foot-down stop at the bottom of the hill), and a 6.2 mile run up to Plumas Pines and back. The bike and run legs will occur on paved roads. Note that roads are not closed for our events and all participants must obey CA Vehicle Codes. The Olympic course will have two aid stations. Relay teams are welcome!
Kids Splash-N-Dash race is a great way to get kids started in the sport of triathlon. The kids race is held right after the Sprint race around 9:15 a.m. at the Mill Pond. Kids must be between 5 and 12 years old and able to put on their own shoes etc. The Kids course is on dirt, bring mountain bikes!
