2014 TRI GRAEAGLE TRIATHALONS
Race Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
The Sprint distance course is suitable for beginner triathletes (adults and youth tri teams) and includes a 0.3 mile swim in the Graeagle Mill Pond, a 12 mile bike ride consisting of three trips around the Mohawk loop, and a 2.8 mile run from the Mill Pond to Blairsden and back (Sprint Race Course Map). All bike and run legs will occur on paved roads. Note that roads are not closed for our events and all participants must obey CA Vehicle Codes. The Sprint course will have one aid station. Relay teams welcome!
The Olympic distance course is suitable for intermediate to advanced athletes and includes a .7 mile swim in the Graeagle Mill Pond, a very challenging 21 mile bike ride up the Gold Lake Road (Olympic Race Course Map) and back down (with a required foot-down stop at the bottom of the hill), and a 6.2 mile run up to Plumas Pines and back. The bike and run legs will occur on paved roads. Note that roads are not closed for our events and all participants must obey CA Vehicle Codes. The Olympic course will have two aid stations. Relay teams are welcome!
Kids Dip-N-Dash race is a great way to get kids started in the sport of triathlon. The swim course is near shore and the bike and run course circle the Mill Pond on a dirt road (MTB bikes are best for this). Kids Dip-n-Dash Map.
The Tri Graeagle series are USA Triathlon sanctioned events that include Sprint and Olympic/International distance races with individual, relay, and youth classes as well as a kid's dip-n-dash race.
